Camp Cards for a Cause are Supporting Educators in 2021
Traditionally Camp Cards are a Scout’s opportunity to earn their own way to camp while also supporting local businesses and camp properties.
Scouts from Grand Canyon Council distribute Camp Cards to family, friends, neighbors, and the community, with each card providing over a dozen discounts and deals for restaurants, attractions, sports venues, and automotive care for the remainder of the year.
For every $10 card sold, $5 supports the Scout’s fundraising goal, with the remainder going to improve summer camp properties, keep camp fees low, and provide support to other Scouts in need!
Between now and May 30, 2021 Grand Canyon Council Scouts can register online to participate in “Camp Cards for a Cause”. Like our traditional Camp Cards, Scout units will earn a 50% commission for donations collected throughout this online fundraiser. Units and Scouts will not have to mail or deliver any cards; Council will handle the responsibility of distributing cards to essential workers within our community! All a Scout needs to do is promote their fundraiser, and ask for support from family, friends, loved ones, and neighbors.
For every $10 donated to Camp Cards for Cause;
- A camp card will be donated to an educator during this COVID-19 Crisis
- $5 will be contributed to MY Scouting adventure, either in the Pines at Camp Geronimo, at a High Adventure Base, or anywhere in between
- $5 will be contributed to the Grand Canyon Council to help achieve their goal of providing an opportunity for Scouting to every youth in the state of Arizona
Any Scout or unit, regardless of prior participation, may take part in Camp Cards for a Cause. There is no need to check out cards, no financial risk, and no obligations to time commitment. Scouts may go to this site to create their online portal. Once a profile is set up, they may begin to share their link through email, their parents’ social media, or via messages to family and friends!
