Sam Kelsall's Annual Bike Ride Supporting Scouting in Arizona

Sam Kelsall is an extremely energetic 83-year-old attorney and Eagle Scout, who has a huge heart for Scouting. Sam achieved his Eagle Scout award in the Chickasaw Council on November 29, 1953. One of his fondest memories of this achievement was at 14 1/2 years old, when he completed his cycling merit badge. His passions were clear after completing a 6-day trek at Philmont, immediately followed by a 7-day, 454-mile ride across Iowa in 2016, participating in RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa).

“I am riding my bicycle across Iowa for the 36th time, July 24th to July 30th. The route this year is 462 miles, beginning at Sergeant Bluff, Iowa and ending at Lansing, Iowa.

My two favorite things are riding my bicycle across Iowa and helping develop youth into young adults through the Boy Scouts of America programs, particularly in the Central District of the Grand Canyon Council.

I urge you to donate to Grand Canyon Council Friends of Scouting program for every mile I ride. You may donate by completing the form below..”
