Cub Scout Braves Pow Wow 2024

The Cub Scout Braves Pow Wow returned with an exciting and action-packed event at Heard Scout Pueblo on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This year’s event saw an impressive turnout, with 690 participants registered, including 333 adults, 308 Cub Scouts (281 of whom participated in target and range activities), and 49 siblings. Adding the 151 staff members—comprising 139 registered staff and 12 non-registered personnel from Police, Fire, and Military organizations—the total attendance reached approximately 841 individuals!

The Pow Wow offered a variety of memorable activities and first-time appearances since before COVID, including:

  • Phoenix Police SWAT and K-9 Unit Demo: Scouts and families enjoyed up-close demonstrations showcasing the impressive skills of these units.
  • Phoenix Fire Engine Display: Always a crowd-pleaser, the fire engine was a hit with attendees.
  • Veterans Group with Vintage Military Vehicles: Scouts had the opportunity to see and learn about historic military equipment.
  • New Climbing Tower: Making its debut at this year’s Pow Wow, the climbing tower was a major highlight and drew enthusiastic participants all day.

Other favorites included:

  • Games, crafts, and activities in the Indian Village.
  • Two different escape rooms proved extremely popular.
  • Classic range activities, including archery and BB shooting. Archery sessions were completely booked, while BB sessions were nearly full!
