Cub Scouting is for youth in kindergarten through fifth grade. Youth can join Scouts BSA at age 11 but have not reached age 18.

First-time Scouts that join the Grand Canyon Council, BSA (GCC) from January 1, 2023, through March 31, 2023. NOTE: This does not include Crossovers or unit transfers.
- First-time GCC Scouts BSA registrants, ages 11-17, must attend Camp Geronimo in the Summer (June-July) of 2023 with their Troop (no provisional week or other non-unit registration) to redeem.
NOTE: First-time GCC Cub Scouts registrants must attend R-C Scout Ranch in the Summer of 2023. Age-Appropriate Guidelines for Scouting Activities must apply.
- First-time GCC Cub Scouts registrants, Grades K–5, must attend R-C Scout Ranch in the Summer (June) of 2023 with their Pack, and Parents/Family must pay to attend with a Scout. Parent or guardian attendance is required at R-C Scout Ranch.
To be redeemed Summer Camp of 2023 (June-July) at Camp Geronimo (youth ages 11-17) or (June) R-C Scout Ranch (Youth Grades K-5).
