On September 23, 2024, the Grand Canyon Council’s Trail to Leadership Luncheon brought together over 450 supporters to celebrate the profound impact of Scouting across Arizona. Held in honor of Tony M. Astorga, the event raised over $292,000, ensuring vital funding for Scouting programs that serve nearly 6,000 families in our community.
Astorga, a respected leader in the Arizona community, received recognition for his exceptional contributions, crediting Scouting for shaping his leadership journey. In his acceptance speech, he highlighted how the values learned in Scouting helped him develop key leadership skills that have guided him throughout his career.

Following Tony’s speech, Dr. Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University and event co-chair, took the stage to deliver a powerful keynote address.
