Day of Service 2020
The first Grand Canyon Council Day of Service occurred November 14, 2020 with projects and activities occurring all over the state! Initially sparked by an idea from the Fox Patrol in the February 2020 Wood Badge Course, dozens of Packs, Troops, and Crews took part in supporting our communities.
If you would like to assist in coordinating or organizing a 2021 Day of Service as a part of your district, region, or unit, please contact us! We’d love to assist in organizing future service opportunities to support our state!
Thank you so much to the Fox Patrol of Wood Badge W6-10-20-1 for coordinating and promoting such an outstanding event!
Pack 6 hiked along the trails at Papago Park and picked up trash along our way. Our Cub Scouts collected around 20 bags of trash! (We have 2 members of W6-10-20-1 Fox Patrol in Pack 6)

Wet Beaver Creek – Troop 7039
On the Bell Trail along Wet Beaver Creek. Troop 7039 cleaned up the 3.5 miles of trail by hiking into the crossing known as “the Crack” then backtracking while filling bags with trash and recycles. This was part of their November Camp Out, so they also cleaned up the littered National Forest area in and around the campsite.

Pack 276 led a conservation project cleaning up Rio Vista Park and wash, then went fishing, as a part of their monthly pack meeting!
